one day is not enough but it's
a good start. You begin your experience at the amazing Pagani
Automobili factory.
Founder and chief designer is Horacio Pagani that from humble
beginnings founded
this supercar company woving his vision into revolutionary
creations for road and race
track cars such as the terrific carbon fiber Zonda, so called after
a dry wind that often
occurs on the South American Andes. Move on to Modena to visit the
brand new
museum built on the site of Enzo Ferrari’s birthplace making use of
the former 1 9th
century house and workshop of Enzo Ferrari’s father. Dedicated to
the founder of the
brand, it displays cars and temporary exhibitions, some Enzo
Ferrari's own personal
belongings and memorabilia. You will enjoy lunch after a guided
walking tour of the
historic center of Modena, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Not far
from Modena is
Maranello, the small town where Ferrari factory moved in 1 943.
Stop at the official
Ferrari museum for a visit to its exhibit that includes unique cars
and trophies then time
at your leasure to visit the official Ferrari shop before heading
to Lamborghini factory.
Ferruccio Lamborghini was a tractor maker with business that
expanded to oil burners
and air conditioning units. Having owned luxury cars he had his own
idea of what an
ideal GT was. It is said that he had trouble with his Ferrari 250GT
and complained to
Maranello personally. Having not been received with the respect he
expected he
decided to build his own GT, a car that would be better than his
Ferrari, of course. His
first car, 350GTV, immediately became the star of the Turin show.
However, that was
nothing compared with the second car, Miura but 1 974 saw the an
even more
spectacular success, the Countach. The factory is going on producing
supercars called
by bulls names (Ferruccio's sign was the bull) such as the powerful
last Aventador.
